About Us

We are a group of women writers with a passion for the environment.  We are activists, academics, scientists, mothers, sisters, and daughters. Our mission is to create a space for dialogues about the intersection of women and the environment.  Our goal is to be a resource for others seeking to discuss this intersection and working toward a more sustainable future.

We post two days a week about events, books, movies, or just generally thoughts on women and the environment. Like us on Facebook to keep up to date with what’s going on!

Redefining Eco is:

Lisa Christina. Lisa is a young professional working in primarily education non profits.  She finds the intersection between women and the environment the most interesting thing in the world, and hopes to one day earn her PhD in this field.  She started this blog to create a space where these conversations can happen regularly. Outside of writing here, Lisa also blogs at Silence is Complicit and enjoys watching Doctor Who on Netflix.

A.  A_A works for an environmental non-profit, and is an avid outdoors-woman and spokes-model for all things green.  In her free time, she volunteers at her local animal shelter as a dog walker.  On weekends you can find her hiking, biking, or running the trails around the Washington DC area, usually sporting a camel-bak and a Caps hat.

Juliet.  Juliet is a strategic communications consultant with a strong focus on issues related to the environment and public health. An accomplished marketing and communications executive, she has nearly 20 years’ experience in branding and communications strategies, public relations, social marketing and public awareness campaigns. Juliet is also an ardent yoga practitioner who frequently explores the world of vegan cooking (with wildly inconsistent results).
